Condor High Mast Luminare

The Condor High Mast Luminaire was created to offer the most energy efficient and reliable high mast luminaire possible. Based on an enclosed and filtered optic, the Condor utilizes the highest reflectivity materials on the market to achieve an optical efficiency over 40% greater than competitive products. In combination with the first comprehensive line of Electronic High Intensity Discharge (eHID) electronic ballasts, energy savings in excess of 60% can be obtained while maintaining equal or superior lighting quantity and quality. The Condor is available in electronic (CEH) and magnetic (CPS) offerings with either metal halide or high pressure sodium sources.

Product Features:

The Condor High Mast Luminaire features a highly efficient HID optical assembly.  The optical surface has a minimum reflectivity of 95% and is enclosed in a heavy duty spun aluminum hail shroud (patent pending). The optical surface is precision laser cut and formed in a computer controlled process to ensure every optic is fabricated to the highest of standards. Featuring a unique “inverted cone” (patent pending) design at the base of the lamp, the optic creates a distribution superior to a sag glass product but in a Dark-Sky Associated approved flat glass system. The optical is enclosed by high efficiency low iron, double sided anti-reflective (AR) coated glass to ensure a minimum of light loss through the glass. The optical is filtered by a high performance sintered bronze filtration system that prohibits ingress of partials larger than 100 microns.  Unlike open optics, dirt depreciation is minimized by eliminating the possibility of dirt buildup on the optical surface and lamp envelope (rather than encouraging it) ensuring maximum light output over the life of the product. The enclosed design also permits the use of enclosed rated lamps that offer over 10% greater optical efficiency.

The ballast housing is constructed of heavy duty sand cast aluminum and is melted and manufactured in Fort Worth, Texas. The lamp driver is mounted to the cover that includes integrally cast cooling fins to provide maximum thermal management of the driver/ballast. The overall fixture has a minimum 40C ambient temperature rating in all available configurations. The ballast housing is thermally isolated from the optical housing by a three inch spacing to minimize thermal influence of the lamp on the ballast/driver. Wiring from the ballast to socket is through an enclosed wire way that is sealed with high temperature silicon sealant to prohibit airflow between the two chambers.
